Setup & Testing

The completed switch is setup on a flip lid gear box and bench tested for continuity through out its movement. Initial preset adjustments are made at this point. All wiring connectors are checked for proper continuity in the full extended and retracted positions to insure proper function.

After bench testing the switch is brought out to the garage for final setup.

The switch is mounted on the flip-lid gear box. The upper back panel switch adjustments are readjusted, if needed, with the flip lid in the erect and retracted positions. Once the settings are tight, the switch gets connected to the vehicles wiring harness for a live test.

With the wiring connected the top is cycled trough it's retracted and erect function using the interior top control switch to insure that the upper back panel switch functions properly and that the adjustments are set correctly
